Kwalata Game Ranch derives its name from the endangered and proud Sable Antelope.

Covering an area of 1500 HA, only 45 km north of Pretoria, Kwalata is home to more than 14 species of game. Kudu, zebra, giraffe, blue wildebeest, impala, waterbuck, steenbok, ostrich and warthog are just some of the animals roaming the African savannah. Four kilometres of the Pienaars River sustains a colourful abundance of bird life in this malaria free area. The protected Tamboti tree also enjoys prominence at Kwalata Game Ranch as Main Camp is built amongst a number of these beautiful trees.

From its humble beginnings around a black pot under starry skies, Kwalata has sprawled into a leading conference and function venue.

It boasts a beautiful and quite unique wedding chapel in the midst of a Tamboti forest, adjoining a boma and catering facilities for 300 guests. Four conference centres allow companies a productive workshop in the bushveld. Guests can overnight in comfortable accommodation.
