El arish restaurant was established in 1983. Originally situated in Wesley Road on the Bluff, then to Seaview and since 2000 at 899 Bluff Road, Bluff. It is still a family run organisation with the emphasis being on fresh products, great food and customer satisfaction.

For conferencing, seating can be configured to suit the client’s requirements. Our conferencing packages are priced very competitively with a full day conference starting at R165 per delegate per day. For a full review of the menus check under our menus banner. The price includes standard equipment. We can cater for just about any kind of function you could dream of.

By April, four of a total of 10 suites will come into operation, with the balance coming into operation in August . The suites will offer an upmarket and professional accommodation experience.

Centrally situated 10 minutes from the airport and 10 minutes to city centre .
Parking is free and safe.

From our restaurant you get panoramic views of Durban and the harbour.
The restaurant operates with an ala carte menu and is suitable for a family dinner or a corporate lunch. The menu includes an array of starters and salads with seafood, steaks, curries, pastas and poultry. An intimate bar services the restaurant with a small private dining area also available. An enclosed “smokers balcony” is available. To get to the restaurant one doesn’t need to walk up stairs, just hop into the lift and it will take you there.

The venue has become a favourite for bridal couples as we provide a complete service for the wedding or just do what is required of us should the bridal couple want to do certain things on their own. Our prices are very competitive and include the food, venue, overlays, underlays, chair covers, tiebacks, crockery, cutlery, and champagne glasses. We have an in-house function co-ordinator who will assist at all times. If all you want to do is pitch up for your wedding and have everything in place , we can do all of that for you, from the cake to the D.j . We also do backgrounds and centre pieces at nominal fees. So for that once in a lifetime experience drop us a line and lets see if we can assist you.

For some of our “die hard” fans we’ve also done many functions for up to 600 guests at other venues. We also provide meals for some functions where the meals are picked up by the clients and the catering is done by them.
